Laboratories
The program requires an adequate computational infrastructure, capable of performing complex numerical calculations and large-scale data storage.
In addition to desktop and portable computers, the program has access to the infrastructure of the Scientific Computing Laboratory of the UFES Department of Physics (sci-com), which is managed by the Núcleo Capixaba de Computação Científica (NC3) of UFES. The sci-com includes 20 computational nodes, featuring high-performance GPUs, and is integrated into the RNP e-Science Network, with a minimum speed of 100 Gbps. The program members also have access to the COSMO cluster at CBPF, which features multiple high-performance computing nodes and storage capacity.
Additionally, there is a continuous need for frequent and large-scale teleconferences, for which UFES already has an adequate infrastructure.
